School Food

    1. Dietary Patterns:
      • We serve staples like matoke (green bananas), posho (maize porridge), rice, beans, G.nuts, and various vegetables.
      • School meals often reflect local dietary patterns and despite changing seasons, climate change, and rising food costs, we have maintained our menu over time.
      • Our boys enjoy Porridge in the morning and black tea in the evening.
    2. Catering and Serving:
      • Like many other schools in Uganda, we have our own kitchen or catering services to provide meals for students.
      • Our students do not queue for meals; instead, food is arranged on serving tables, allowing students to serve themselves and dine while seated in the dining room.
    3. Nutritional Considerations:
      • The nutritional content of school meals is an important consideration. Balanced diets with essential nutrients are crucial for the growth and development of students.
    4. Local Ingredients:
      • We source ingredients locally, contributing to the support of local farmers and ensuring the freshness of the food.
